Of late I have been trying to recreate my favourite childhood treats as healthy snacks. You know the ones; After Eights, Bounties, Snickers, Chocolate Oranges etc. The usual. Well I have done the Bounty and After Eights, now its tie for the Chocolate Orange Smoothie Recipe! This smoothie is rich, flavoursome and oh so smooth. It’s high in protein making it the perfect post workout recovery snack. I also had one for breakfast a few weeks ago so you can have it whenever really.
It also has some carbs in there to replenish your glycogen stores and get you back to full operational energy. Chocolate goes with some many things I am struggling to decide what to try out next. Help a brother out and give me a few suggestions below. The wackier the better, no judgement here.
Chocolate Orange Smoothie Recipe
- 1 serving of Chocolate Multipower 100% Whey Protein
- ½ a frozen banana
- ½ an orange (juice)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tbsp. of cacao
- 1 tbsp. of cacao nibs
- 2 squares of dark chocolate
- Blend everything together, pour and enjoy.
