Banana Breakfast Smoothie

October 28, 2016 by HealthyJon Leave a Comment

Righteo people. Good morning, what are we all starting our day with today? Porridge, eggs, toast, all three? A lot of my friends have recently been telling me that they are having more and more smoothies for breakfast simply because they are short on time and even blend them and drink it on the way to work. So I wanted to make sure that you all have a filling and nutritional breakfast shake. Something that is high in protein and high in carbohydrates, Something that is really going to keep you energised for a long time and see you through till lunch. Behold my Healthy Breakfast Banana Smoothie. Packed full of oats, peanut butter, banana and protein (I used Multipower whey but please do feel free to use a plant based protein if you are vegan or dairy free).

The dark line around my smoothie is just melted dark chocolate for those of you wondering. I had to make my smoothie look a little more interesting, sorry. A nutribullet jug isn’t very instagrammy.
