Are you planning on launching a company that produces a healthy food or drink product? Then keep reading!
I like to think of my self as being quite entrepreneurial and being a health and fitness blogger, some day I would love to bring my own healthy product to market. When I heard about the Cotswold Fayre Young Food and Drink Entrepreneurs Award I thought it was an amazing opportunity, something that in a year or two I might apply for and something that I needed to share with you all.
Cotwolds Fayre are a food wholesaler supplying independent retailers with quite the range of fantastic food and drinks, 4 years ago they started a scheme that aims to support young food and drink producers into the speciality food sector. The scheme is particularly aimed at those hoping to start their business while at university (but this is not essential). Here is a fantastic statistic for you, currently more than 26,000 UK businesses are run by entrepreneurs aged 21 and under, how cool is that!
Our millennial population is becoming more and more entrepreneurial and this scheme aims to give you a helping hand, there is £1,500 and a year of mentoring from company founder Paul Hargreaves on offer for 1 lucky winner.
As if that wasn’t enough incentive to enter, Cotswold Fayre’s in-house designer will work closely with the winner to develop a strong brand identity behind your product.
Last year’s winner, Jerome Jacob only 24 years of age and founder of PHROOTI, a company that produces real fruit infused teas said: “Winning the Cotswold Fayre Young Food & Drink Entrepreneur of the Year award has helped me achieve industry recognition, helped with my start-up costs and most importantly, gave me an invaluable mentor in Paul”.
So what are you waiting for? Applications for this year’s award open on the 1st of April 2016 and close on the 30th of June 2016. The application form can be found HERE. Good luck!
